AUSTIN, TEXAS – January 18, 2024 – Today, Owlchemy Labs announced that Sandra Marshall, seasoned expert in spatial computing, has joined Owlchemy Labs as their new Chief Operating Owl. Marshall joins Owlchemy with 18 years of experience as an emerging technology visionary in developing, implementing, and leading advanced virtual and augmented reality projects. 

With 16 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, most recently as a principal in their Chief Technology Office, Marshall brings a proven track record of spearheading market expansion, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and exceeding business objectives. She does this by seamlessly blending strategy, technology, and creativity to business development and operational efficiency. All of this is combined with a deep understanding of Owlchemy’s forward-thinking, making her the ideal COOwl to push the studio’s vision to advance VR.

Notable achievements include building Booz Allen Hamilton’s first VR studio and developing a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention VR application designed to model complex airflow patterns and teach safe use of Biological Safety Cabinets at a global scale. She also led the initiative to develop a digital twin platform for the U.S. Air Force, integrating engineering and real-time data in XR to improve safety, resilience and performance of critical installations.
